Acne Studios has the most pairs, nearly all named by model: Max, River, Ace, North, Town, Roc or Melk, some from the Blå Konst line. From Dolce & Gabbana come FW05 Poem jeans with slashes and printed text, a cargo-pocket pair with a double DG logo at the waist, an all-over DG monogram and white patchwork, mostly straight in the leg. Prada offers a straight Prada Milano selvedge pair and a tapered deep-indigo pair with a button fly. Single pairs come from other houses: the Dsquared2 Classic Kenny, Helmut Lang bondage cargos with a removable leather strap, slim Givenchy jeans trimmed with logo tape and Burberry Prorsum raw denim.

Sizes and measurements

Nearly every pair has a letter size, XS to XXL. Descriptions add each house's own sizing: Acne Studios gives waist and leg length in inches, as in 31/34, most other houses give a single waist figure, and the Dsquared2 reads US 38 / EU 54. Most listings also give flat measurements: waist, inseam, outseam, front rise, thigh and leg opening. Compare rise and thigh with jeans that fit you: two pairs with the same waist can sit differently. Other trousers are under Pants; weaves and washes under Denim.

How do the Acne Studios fits differ?

By our listings, River and North are slim; Ace is slim with a straight or tapered leg; Roc is straight and slim; Melk is slim and slightly tapered. Max is listed both as a slim cut and as a straight leg, each mid-rise.

Are the archive Dolce & Gabbana jeans vintage?

Yes. FW05 is the autumn-winter 2005 collection, which puts those Poem pairs past the twenty-year mark; the double DG waist and paint-splatter pairs are listed as vintage too. Before a pair goes up, our team inspects its labels, rivets and stitching in-house.

Button fly or zip: does it matter?

Mostly for feel. A button fly lies flat once broken in and has no zipper to fail; a zip is quicker. The tapered deep-indigo Prada pair and the Dsquared2 Classic Kenny close with buttons.
