Cashmere, fine wool and weather finishes
Loro Piana was founded in Quarona, Italy, in 1924, and materials lead our selection: a Falkville crewneck in virgin wool and cashmere, a ribbed beanie in pure cashmere and a women's wide-brimmed felt hat that blends hare fur with cashmere. The Sidney over-trench is cut from The Gift of Kings wool with a Rain System finish, while the baseball cap uses Storm System fabric. What are The Gift of Kings, Rain System and Storm System?
The Gift of Kings is Loro Piana's name for its most exclusive selection of extra-fine wool. Rain System and Storm System are the brand's own weather-protection technologies: Rain System gives a fabric a water-repellent finish, and Storm System makes it resistant to wind and rain.
