A season in the title ties a sweatshirt to one collection. Acne Studios accounts for the “I Want More” photo-print crew from the AW14 College Photo collection, the AW14 College Reverse crew with a gray face and a camel wool-blend reverse, and an AW15 navy crew with a raw-edged orange “Woman Power” patch. The gray Nike ACG crew comes from NikeLab ACG, SS18, when Errolson Hugh was designing the line.

Other graphics include Helmut Lang's baby blue oversized crew with a printed and embroidered old logo, and a black Versace crew with Medusa and baroque embroidery set with gold-tone studs.

Crews, zips and knit crews

Stone Island takes the crewneck toward utility, with flapped cargo pockets on the chest, a drawstring hem and the compass badge on its left sleeve. Acne Studios keeps it plain in black viscose and cotton, with the name woven around the collar. Prada's Linea Rossa pullover in black fleece adds a shoulder zip and a zipped side pocket, while a navy Dolce & Gabbana zip sweatshirt has varsity-style terry patches. Logo-pattern wool knits from Marni and a vintage Fendi in FF Zucca are filed here too.

What makes a sweatshirt different from a knit sweater?

A sweatshirt is cut and sewn from a knitted cotton fabric, fleece or loopback, then finished with rib at the neck, cuffs and hem. A sweater is knitted from yarn, often wool, as with the Marni and Fendi crews.

Do prints and patches age on a pre-owned sweatshirt?

They can: screen prints crack or fade with washing, patch edges lift and embroidery pulls. Our team checks graphics, labels, seams and rib cuffs in-house before listing, and any cracking or fading is visible in the listing photos.

How should a graphic sweatshirt be washed?

Inside out on a cool, gentle cycle, then dried flat instead of tumble-dried, which spares prints and rib. Wool-blend pieces are safer washed by hand, and where the care label says otherwise, it takes priority.
