Blazers and tailoring

Soft tailoring comes from Boglioli, mostly the K Jacket. More structured cuts include Brioni's Roman Style in olive wool, Prada Milano blazers in virgin wool, a black two-button Dior Homme blazer and a double-breasted Burberrys Prorsum blazer with peak lapels, made in Germany. Women's jackets range from a Christian Dior Toile de Jouy blazer to a 1990s Dolce & Gabbana cotton jacket with eyelets and a distressed Belstaff Cougar blouson. Our team checks each jacket in-house, from labels and stitching to buttons and zips, before listing.

Bombers, quilting and padding

• Bombers: Dolce & Gabbana's SS2005 denim bomber with an embroidered back and its landscape-print bomber lined in faux fur, Brioni's navy leather bomber and a vintage Alpha Industries MA-1 made in the USA.
• Quilted and padded: Burberry Brit diamond quilting in khaki and in black, the Belstaff Bramley Racer, a vintage Moncler biker jacket filled with down and a Stone Island down jacket in Crinkle Reps nylon.
• Workwear and utility: an Acne Studios Mechanic jacket from 2011, a mustard canvas Agder by Norse Projects and an A.P.C. Harry zip jacket in camouflage-print cotton.

FAQ

How does a structured blazer differ from an unstructured one?

A structured blazer has shoulder padding and canvas in the chest, so it holds a crisp line on its own, like the Dior Homme and Brioni blazers. An unstructured one, such as the Boglioli K Jacket, keeps padding to a minimum and falls closer to the body.

Which jackets are warm enough for winter?

Anything filled with down, such as the Moncler, Stone Island and Prada down jackets, plus the shearling-lined Jil Sander coat and the faux-fur-lined D&G bomber. The diamond-quilted Burberry and Belstaff jackets are lighter, for autumn and spring.

Why does an MA-1 have an orange lining?

The flight jacket was made reversible: worn inside out, the bright orange side made a downed pilot easier to spot. The vintage Alpha Industries jacket here keeps it.
