Chanel frames, rimless to acetate

Four-digit Chanel model numbers appear in most titles.

• Rimless: 4017 with CC logos on the lenses, 4027 with CC hinges and blue translucent temples, 4037 with gold mirrored lenses, 4047 with braided temple tips, 4051 with crystal-set CCs, a 1990s 4043 wraparound and a matte black square frame.
• Shields and visors: 4045 single-lens masks in black and in silver, 4072 and 4148 with crystal CCs, 4077 with pearl accents, an FW99 wraparound marked 4011 and a gray visor outlined by an inlaid chain.
• Aviators and ovals: 4150 with CHANEL cut out of the temples, 4162-Q with leather trim and pink tips, a gold CC aviator with polarized lenses and the 4129 oval with smoky acetate temples.
• Acetate: 5036 and 5062 in tortoiseshell, 5282 with bow-shaped temples, an oversized black 6026, 5210-Q with chain-link temples and the Bijou 5262 with camellia and clover filigree.

Markings, cases and wear

Almost all the listings state Made in Italy. Many give the frame size, such as 62-12-125, while shields are mostly one size. Several pairs come with a Chanel case, one of them in denim.
